Digital building access for Masaryčka office employees now available in Apple Wallet

Our Masaryčka office buildings are still modernising and innovating technologically! We are pleased to announce that the Masaryčka by Sharry app now allows tenants to access the building via a virtual card directly from Apple Wallet.

This system greatly simplifies the process of entering the building and its internal areas, while increasing the level of office security. Users can now open the doors to various Masaryčka spaces even more easily without having to either open the app itself or have it running in the background. With your phone or watch, you can easily unlock your office, shared spaces and terraces there with just a double tap. It’s simple, convenient and secure.

The app itself, which most users are already familiar with, offers office and retail tenants additional useful features such as an overview of events, sharing important notifications, and the ability to manage access permissions independently. This not only makes tenants’ daily life easier, but also contributes to creating a modern and efficient working environment. 

How does it work?

Thanks to this card in Apple Wallet and the use of NFC technology – which is also commonly used for mobile payments – moving around Masaryčka has just become even smoother. Simply put your phone near the reader, which activates the door. This technology is now active on all door readers.

The main advantages of the virtual card in Apple Wallet:

• Even if your iPhone runs out of power, the card in your Apple Wallet remains functional. The Power Reserve feature keeps your access card functional for up to five hours, so there’s no need to worry about your phone’s running out of power.
• Card security: If you lose your iPhone or Apple Watch, your Apple Wallet card is automatically suspended immediately when you mark the device as “lost” in your Apple profile. The card can be reactivated when the device is found.

On opening last year, Masaryčka became one of the first office buildings in the Czech Republic to allow its tenants to enter their offices via a digital card, thanks to a combination of the app and HID Mobile Access technology. We are pleased that the system is still evolving and innovating.
