Visual reflection of the urban ecosystem of Masaryčka

Waves of Mind

The Waves of Mind mural art is a visual reaction to the newly emerging world that is growing into the historical infrastructure of the city, creating new currents, energies and trajectories. The two hundred square meter concrete canvas is at the point of connection between the surrounding world and the foundations of the newly created architecture. It is intersection, where the structure of the modern palace connects with the centuries-old history of the site, creating a contact between the historical and the futuristic. These imaginary currents of metadata became the main inspiration for the creative work of the DRAWetc team and the resulting mural art. The creators invited key personalities who have been involved in the Masarycka project throughout its development to participate in a dialogue on the topic of what is actually being created at the site. Conversations with the stakeholders became the code for the subsequent interaction with the AI. The latter entered into the process of creating the mural art in the same way that the latest, cutting-edge technologies entered into the process of creating the impressive new Masaryčka building. The interaction with artificial intelligence - as a collective mind - completed the process of the conceptual development of mural art and became the basis for the final form of the work. Then the creative team of DRAWetc studio took paint, sprays, brushes and brooms and transformed the final sketch into a monumental scale concrete canvas that adorns the entrance to the garage and delves a little mysteriously into the interior of the newly created Masarycka. The Waves of Mind mural art is thus a visualisation of the metamorphosis of the metadata that flows through the site of the new urban palace.

Mural art Waves of Mind further develops the Echoes series, a project of recorded testimonies of key stakeholders behind the Masaryčka project. Their voices have become a digital record of the context of the project's creation and its diverse functions and meanings. Just as the carefully hidden capsule containing the message of the creators and investors used to remain in the palaces, the statements of Masarycka's creators remain a digitally imprinted message. The voice of the stakeholders became the source for the audio-reactive visualizations, with fragments of Waves of Mind's mural art connecting with the voice line to create morphing animated loops. The digitally imprinted confessions of the Masarycka project's creators are accessible online through QR codes deployed within the complex, becoming an extension of the artistic intervention.
